The uptempo guard Kevin Dorsey annouced via Twitter where he will be playing college basketball after his senior season in high school today.

Class of 2015 guard Kevin Dorsey out of Fairfax, Virginia announced today that he has made his college decision to attend The University of Minnesota. Dorsey held offers from several schools, including Maryland, Nebraska, and Big East Conference representative Creighton among others.

Dorsey stands as one of the best point guards in the Washington, D.C.-Maryland-Virginia area. It was reported Friday night that Dorsey cut his list down to Nebraska, Minnesota, and Maryland, leaving out the Bluejays as one of his premier choices.

One person told Big East Coast Bias that he believed that he was going to commit to Maryland because he could not see him going that far away from home. Maryland Terrapins head coach Mark Turgeon was recruiting Dorsey hard, and watched him go against another one of his other top targets in Justin Robinson at the Ty Lawson-Victor Oladipo Camp in Hyattsville. As it turns out, Dorsey is headed to the Midwest and away from the Mid-Atlantic.

Dorsey is a guard that loves to attack the basket and loves the uptempo system, making him a perfect fit for the Golden Gophers. He is a player that should make an impact in the Big Ten Conference right when he steps on campus. I thought that he was going commit after Peach Jam, but him committing early allows him to focus on improving his game well in advance of his arrival in the Twin Cities.
