Tyus Battle, the starting shooting guard for Gil St. Bernard, who is ranked nineteenth in the nation by ESPN, will visit Villanova on Tuesday.
The sophomore already has an offer from Villanova, and attended a Villanova game in March when the team beat Marquette 73-56.
"I love the way [head coach] Jay [Wright] talks to his guys," Gary Battle, who is Tyus’ father, expressed to SNY.tv. "They have a very unified group. Ty enjoyed the visit."
Battle’s father also told SNY.tv that Villanova would use his son as a "ball-handler, scorer and facilitator. He would be a 6-6 multi-faceted guard."
247Sports reports that his interest in the school is "cool", compared to his interest in Syracuse, which is labeled as "warmer".
Tyus Battle is not the only star high school basketball player visiting Villanova this upcoming week. Trey Lowe of Ewing High School, who led the state in scoring, will be visiting the university on Monday.
