Yesterday, Georgetown offered Josh Reaves, who is in the class of 2015 and plays for Paul XI. Kevin Broadus was recruiting Reaves very hard and has close ties with his family also. Reaves is an good player, who can shoot the ball really well, an athletic freak, and plays defense really hard, but this summer he is trying to work on his strenght because that is what a lot of people tell him that he needs to do. Villinova also offer Reaves a long time ago.
Reaves does play on the same high school and AAU team as Hoyas commit Marcus Derrickson. Georgetown is also targeting Frank Howard, who plans on committing on his birthday, which is April 14. Georgetown really likes what Reaves can bring to the team if he commits to them. At the Metro Challenge 60 event at Dematha high school, Reaves was really consistent and averaged 25 points per games.
Reaves is on the Hoyas radar hard and they like him a lot because he can bring so much to them because he plays with a lot of energy and heart. This season for PVI, Reaves was getting noticed because of plays he makes for his team and he is really vocal as a junior. Reaves does play AAU for team takeover and will gain more offers and interest throughout the spring and summer.
According to 247,Reaves is ranked as the No. 25 shooting guard prospect nationally in the class of 2015 and the No. 4 overall prospect in the state of Virginia by 247Sports. He has a 247Sports rating of 89 which equates to three stars.
