Top 5 Moments in Big East Tournament History

New, 4 comments

BECB is compiling a list of the top five best moments in Big East Tournament history. Any suggestions?

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

The Big East looks a bit different this year, but gets to keep all the history and tradition of playing in Madison Square Garden the second week of March. Beginning in 1980, the Big East Tournament moved to Manhattan three years later and has steadily developed into the best conference tournament in the country. In just the past decade, we've seen Gerry McNamara lift Syracuse to the title on four straight nailbiters, a six-overtime thriller involving the Orange and UCONN, and Kemba Walker play the Huskies into March Madness with an unheard-of five victories in the BET.

We'll make some new memories this year, but could use your help to commemorate what's already passed. Have a suggestion for our top 5 list of moments in the Big East Tournament? Leave a comment in the thread or tweet us @becb_sbn.
