Will Georgetown's focus be back?
After a loss to No.2 Wisconsin and Butler, Georgetown's focus will need to be back. This is the start of a slate of games at home before they go play Indiana at Madison Square Garden. It will be really important because the last game against Butler, they looked out of it and missed a lot of shots that they should have made. The Hoyas will need to stay focus and win these games, but it starts with Towson. Towson is an underrated team that does not get credit for a lot of the teams that they have beat. This game will be a test to see how the Hoyas rebound against two losses against two good teams in the Bahamas.
The veterans need to step up
The veterans on Georgetown looked really out of it and they really need to step up. Joshua Smith needs to lead this team because he is like a force. The defensive mistakes that they had in the Bahamas were unaccpetable and the communication was not good. The freshmen looked like they played better and contributed more in the loss against the Butler Bulldogs. Isaac Copeland and Paul White really stepped up in the loss, but a couple missed shots and defensive mistakes led them to losing the game. Expect the veterans to be more involved and make more shots than they did in the loss. John Thompson III probably gave his team an earful, not on the loss, but the simple mistakes they made. It is important that the veterans step up because this team needs it. The losses they had had came down to small mistakes,
Will LJ Peak have a breakout game?
In the first couple games of the year, LJ Peak scored in bunches. In the Bahamas, that was not the case.. Peak, who is a natural scorer, will need to have an breakout game against Towson because I do not think they will be able to stop the up-tempo offense that Georgetown runs. Peak will need to score so his confidence can get back up because when a scorer does not score like he is supposed to, then they get out of sync, though he is only a freshman. Sunday against Towson, I expect him to score a lot and get in the open court, attack, and get to the foul line because that is what he can do best.
