Imagine being in a dome of some sorts. Outside, there is a thunderstorm. You know it's there, but since you're inside this dome, you're safe. But then, a red color appears to seep through the walls. And suddenly, it's storming inside. Crazy right? That can't possibly happen.
Well, maybe not literally. But the St. John's Red Storm look to create a giant storm of their own as they travel to Syracuse to take on the Orange in the Carrier Dome.
St. John's is coming off a home win against Niagara on Tuesday. At times they looked a little shaky and let lowly Niagara hang around, but were ultimately able to turn it on at the right time and come out with a decisive victory.
Syracuse on the other hand is coming off a nail-biter of a finish at Michigan, losing 68-65. Jim Boeheim's squad is 5-2 on the season, and are hosting St. John's for the first time since February 2013, when both teams were members of the Big East. However, St. John's has not won at the Carrier Dome since a 75-70 win all the way back in 1999. In fact, the last time the Red Storm defeated the Orange came back in 2007.
