Delve into the Game
It goes without saying that DePaul is utterly desperate for a win. The Blue Demons have been without one since December 7th, dropping six straight after that impressive 6-1 start. There is no question that defeating Marquette would go a long way toward helping their morale and standing in the Big East. At this point, it's going to take a miracle run in conference play to make the big dance.
Marquette, on the other hand, is in a bit better situation. The Golden Eagles have won four straight and picked up some wins that pass the eye test, taking down Georgia Tech, Arizona State, and Tennessee. They are 91st in Adjusted Offensive Efficiency on KenPom and 119th in Adjusted Defensive Efficiency. They're average numbers, but some that are likely lower than how they'll perform against DePaul tonight.
