For the second straight week, St John's guard D'Angelo Harrison and Seton Hall guard Isaiah Whitehead were awarded Big East Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively.

Harrison averaged 24 points per game in the Red Storm's two victories this past week over Fordham and Fairleigh-Dickinson. He currently leads the conference in scoring at 19.2 points per game, and is sixth in the conference in rebounding with 7.2 rebounds per game.

Whitehead, meanwhile, averaged 14 points and six rebounds in the two games the Pirates played this week. Most of that came from the loss against Wichita State in which Whitehead had a game-high 23 points and shot 4-7 from beyond the three point line.
