The preseason odds for the 2015 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship were updated on Tuesday afternoon. Last heard from on April 28, 2014, Bovada.lv has made adjustments onto the odds, and some Big East teams were influenced by this.
Villanova was at 25/1 on April 28, but as we approach the start of the regular season, their odds have grown larger, going to 28/1. They are still an overwhelming favorite amongst all Big East teams, with the next closest being Georgetown, Marquette, and Seton Hall all standing in at 100/1.
The longest shots of any Big East team to win it all come from Butler and DePaul, who each stand in at 500/1. Xavier, who is picked by many to finish in the upper echelon of the conference, is at a meager 250/1. Creighton, meanwhile, who lost Doug McDermott along with three other starters from the 2013-14 team that finished as the runner up in the regular season and conference tournament, falls at 300/1 at this point in time.
At this moment in time, the Kentucky Wildcats are the favorite to win the 2015 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, standing at 7/2 odds.
