Delaware vs. Villanova: Halftime Notes

Anthony Gruppuso-USA TODAY Sports

The No. 12 team in the country is taking care of business in Philadelphia, as the Villanova Wildcats lead the Delaware Blue Hens by the score of 34-16.

The biggest story of the half comes from the biggest man on the floor for the 'Cats. Daniel Ochefu is your points leader at the moment, scoring 10 whilst shooting over 50 percent from the field. The big man has gotten his fair share of looks, touches and baskets and with everyone else you have to worry about, Ochefu being the difference maker so far shows how darn good this team can be.

The Wildcats' woes from 3-point land seem to be continuing however, as they've shot just 28.6 percent from the perimeter thus far. Only four tries have gone in, so they're certainly trying to get over the hump. As it stands, though, it doesn't look like it's going to happen quite yet.

For Delaware, it's been nothing if not excruciating. They've been held to just 16 points, and to just a hair over 25 percent shooting. They've only converted one make from the 3-point line on 13 tries, so it could be worse, Villanova fans. And they also have committed 10 turnovers in the first half to Villanova's seven.

The one good thing? They're not getting bashed on the boards. They trail the 'Cats 22-17 in the rebounding department, 7-5 offensively, and just 15-12 defensively.

Enjoy the second half!
