The 2014 Paradise Jam begins today in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Seton Hall Pirates are in the mix. The Pirates will be taking on the Nevada Wolf Pack this afternoon in what could be an interesting matchup.
The Nevada Wolf Pack are 2-0 heading into this game, with wins over Cal Poly and Adams State. In those two matchups, they may not have performed very efficiently, with scores of just 65 and 69 in their favor, but they've done a great job of taking care of the basketball. In fact, they boast the lowest Turnover% in the country thus far in this early season, committing turnovers at a rate of just 5.4 percent. Their led by their go-to guys in Marqueze Coleman and Tyron Criswell.
Seton Hall, meanwhile, is just 1-0 with their only game coming this past Sunday. They took on the Mercer Bears, who of course are best known for their win over the Duke Blue Devils in the 2014 NCAA Tournament. The Pirates won a tightly contested matchup with the Bears 63-47, and head coach Kevin Willard's team will be looking to rebound off of a few days of rest in this first round matchup.
The winner of this game will take on either Clemson or Gardner-Webb tomorrow.
