Georgetown comes into this game 1-0 after they beat St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers on Saturday 83-62, and freshman L.J Peak led them in scoring with 23 points. Their next opponent is Texas A&M Corpus Christi, who won there season opener against Our Lady Of the Lake. John Jordan, a senior for the Islanders, scored a total of 18 points along with junior Bryce Douvier.
Georgetown's offense is high-powered, and involves a lot of running in the open court after getting a rebound, but if they want to do that, they will need to rebound better this game than they did against St. Francis. The Hoyas were outrebounded 45-40, but on offensive rebounding it was worse than that, with the Terriers nabbing 22 offensive rebounds to Georgetown's nine. Based off the Islanders' stats, they can rebound the ball really well and can score in the paint.
Georgetown should win this game, but they need to work for this win because this team is underrated. The Hoyas are looking forward to getting another win in front of the home crowd on a Tuesday night.
