At the 2014 Big East Media Day in New York City, the Preseason All-Big East team was announced and for the most part, surprises were few and far between.
The full team, as it stands, is:
Kellen Dunham (Butler Bulldogs)
D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera (Georgetown Hoyas)
D'Angelo Harrison (St. John's Red Storm)
JayVaughn Pinkston (Villanova Wildcats)
Matt Stainbrook (Xavier Musketeers)
The All Big-East second team was also announced on Wednesday morning, featuring quite a few players who could have a case to be on the first team.
Billy Garrett Jr. (DePaul Blue Demons)
Ryan Arcidiacono (Villanova Wildcats)
Darrun Hilliard (Villanova Wildcats)
LaDontae Henton (Providence Friars)
Rysheed Jordan (St. John's Red Storm)
Chris Obekpa, Roosevelt Jones, and Sterling Gibbs were all selected as honorable mentions.
