Providence Friars point guard Kris Dunn, the reigning co-Big East Player of the Year, has been named to Sporting News' preseason All-America team.
Dunn, a 6-4, 220-pounder from New London, Connecticut adds a new accolade by being chosen to the publication's All-America second team. The Friars guard joins Indiana Hoosiers guard Yogi Ferrell and Wichita State Shockers guard Fred VanVleet in the backcourt while Kentucky Wildcats freshman forward Skal Labissiere and Kansas Jayhawks forward Wayne Selden lead the charge in the frontcourt.
The first team features North Carolina Tar Heels guard Marcus Paige, Wichita State guard Ron Baker, Virginia Cavaliers guard Malcolm Brogdon, Wisconsin Badgers forward Nigel Hayes, and Iowa State Cyclones forward Georges Niang.
