Training camps are officially open across the Big East, and we're less than a month from the season kicking off in earnest. That doesn't mean we can't get one more award watch list in under the gun. The Johnny Unitas Gold Arm Award, given annually to honor the nation's best senior quarterback, released its watch list and the watch list contains two Big East quarterbacks.

South Florida's BJ Daniels and Syracuse's Ryan Nassib appear on the list. Big things have been expected of Daniels for what seems like an eternity. We'll see if he can finally put it all together as a senior. It's nice for Nassib to get some recognition for being a very good quarterback on a team that struggled mightily in the second half of last season. For either team to have a successful season, they'll need big years from their quarterbacks.
