The nation's number one high school basketball prospect, center Nerlens Noel out of Tilton, NH, will make his much anticipated college decision public on April 11. Noel was previously a class of 2013 recruit, but reclassified and immediately moved to the top of the class of 2012 rankings when he did. Noel has visited a number of schools officially and unofficially, but today told Jody Demling of the Louisville Courier-Journal that his decision will come down to one three schools: Kentucky, Syracuse, and Georgetown.
As difficult as it might be to imagine, Noel is purported to be an even better shot blocker than Kentucky center Anthony Davis. His addition to an already strong Kentucky recruiting class would likely make the Wildcats the preseason number one team heading into the 2012-13 season. Especially if they are also able to land Shabazz Muhammad as well. Syracuse will be looking to replace center Fab Melo, and the addition of Noel would put the Orange right back into national title contention as well. Georgetown returns a young but talented team that would also be a top 5-10 team with the addition of Noel.
