Scott Wright's rankings of the Top 100 prospects for the 2012 NFL Draft is up at Draft Countdown. The Big East landed four players in the Top 100. It should be remembered that a player's rank in the Top 100 doesn't indicate where a player might be selected in the NFL Draft.
Here's the list of the Big East players in the Top 100:
WR Mohamed Sanu, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, 35th
OLB Bruce Irvin, West Virginia Mountaineers, 43rd
DT Kendall Reyes, Connecticut Huskies, 80th
DE Chandler Jones, Syracuse Orange, 98th
Reyes was invited to the Senior Bowl earlier today. He is one of two Big East players invited. Cincinnati's Isaiah Pead is the other. Sanu has been recently finding himself being selected in the first round of 2012 mock drafts. Chandler Jones declared early for the draft. Irvin was a first-team All-Big East defensive selection this past season, as was Reyes and Jones. Sanu was a first-team All-Big East offensive selection in 2011.
