After another week of basketball, the Syracuse Orange (19-0) remained unbeaten and No. 1 in both the AP and the Coaches' Poll. After that the polls are a little strange for Big East teams.
The Georgetown Hoyas are the only other Big East team in the Top 10, sort of. They are No. 10 in the AP but No. 12 in the Coaches' Poll. The Connecticut Huskies ranked ahead of Georgetown at No. 11 in the Coaches' Poll but is No. 13 in the AP Poll. The Marquette Golden Eagles were No. 21 in this week's AP Poll and No. 22 in the Coaches. The Louisville Cardinals are No. 23 in the AP and No. 21 in the Coaches.
Seton Hall fell out of the AP Poll but still received 79 votes. They also received 16 votes in the Coaches Poll. Cincinnati received 17 AP Poll votes but were shutout in the Coaches. West Virginia received 16 AP votes and 13 Coaches votes.
