To the surprise of no one, the ACC presidents secretly voted to add Pittsburgh and Syracuse as full members before Big East commissioner John Marinatto even had a clue that they were considering. The USA Today reports:
The presidents of the Atlantic Coast Conference voted Saturday morning to accept Syracuse and Pittsburgh to the league, according to an official in the ACC. The official spoke on the condition of anonymity because the league has not announced the move.
The ACC will have a teleconference tomorrow morning at 9:30 to discuss the addition of the new members. Now the Big East must turn the page and try to survive with the addition of new members.
