The watch lists keep on coming. Yesterday it was the Bednarik and Maxwell Award Watch Lists. Today, it's the Mackey Award Watch List. The Mackey Award is the award given to honor the nation's best collegiate tight end. Four tight ends from the Big East were named to the award watch list.

Of the four nominated, we consider Chichester and Jefferson the most likely to be in consideration. Chichester will be the focal point of an offense that loves the tight end and he's an enormous physical mismatch at 6'8. Jefferson will be a true tight end in a more pro style offense that will use his skills well and now he has a settled Chas Dodd to throw it to him. Provo is a nice tight end but I think Syracuse will use its talented receivers a lot more than he in the passing game. Griffin has no idea who will throw him the ball, so we'll see.
