The Football Bowl Association released the official bowl game schedule today, you can find the entire schdeule here. Of importance for Big East fans, the bowls with Big East tie-ins.
- The Beef O'Brady's Bowl in St. Petersburg, FL will be played Tuesday, December 20 at 8:00 pm. The bowl games matches a Big East team against a team from Conference USA.
- The Belk Bowl in Charlotte, NC will be played Tuesday, December 27 at 8:00 pm. The Belk Bowl matches a team from the Big East against a team from the ACC.
- The Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando, FL will be played Thursday, December 29th at 5:30 pm. The Champs Sports Bowl also matches a team from the Big East against a team from the ACC.
- The New Era Pinstripe Bowl in New York will be played Friday, December 30 at 3:20 pm. The New Era Pinstripe Bowl matches a team from the Big East against a team from the Big XII.
- The BVAA Compass Bowl in Birmingham, AL will be played Saturday, January 7th at 1:00 pm. The BVAA Compass Bowl matches a team from the Big East against a team from the SEC.
- The Orange Bowl in Miami, FL will be played Wednesday, January 4 at 8:00 pm. The Orange Bowl does not have an official tie-in with the Big East but, has typically been the BCS destination of Big East teams and is likely to be so again in 2011. The Big East champion would face the champion of the ACC (assuming the ACC champion is not playing in the BCS Championship Game).
