C-USA exit fee is $7 Million.
"If the Knights ultimately decide to join the Big East, Conference USA officials told the Sentinel that UCF would have to pay an exit fee of about $7 million. Schools leaving C-USA must pay their annual share of television revenue under dual contracts with Fox Sports Network and CBS Sports for five years and an additional one-time $500,000 fee."
"Conference USA also plans to enforce its exit rules, which means the earliest UCF could join the Big East would be for the 2013 football season."

This just reaffirms thoughts
That the Big East dug its own grave. When C-USA has a higher exit fee than your conference, it usually means trouble.

Can't make that leap, logically.
However, this news is bad all around for the Big East.

Nobody wants to leave the best conference in America - hence, no need for an exit fee
West Virginia fans hate everybody. They remember every snub and joke and bit of snark. And they never forgive, and they never, ever forget. In other words, they're a lot like West Virginians in general.

Not really
in the grand scheme of things I don’t think 7 mil will deter anyone. That C-USA will enforce it’s exit rules is worse news for PITT & Syracuse. If BE incoming teams are held up by their “old” conferences there will certainly be no incentive for the BE to release the defectors early.

It’s only an issue if the Big East eases UCF into the revenue sharing model like the PAC-12 is doing with Utah.
