All-Big East First Teamer Julian Champagnie withdraws from NBA Draft, will return to St. John’s

Last year’s leading scorer is back for the Red Storm

The St. John’s Red Storm received some good news to cap off Fourth of July, as 2020-21 Big East leading scorer Julian Champagnie announced he would be returning to the program for his junior season.

Champagnie led the Big East in scoring last year with 19.9 points per game, and was sixth in the conference in rebounding with 7.4 per game.

With Champagnie’s return along with Posh Alexander sticking around, St. John’s should be looking like a team that can finish in the top third of the Big East in the 2021-22 season.
