The Xavier Musketeers added a key transfer earlier this week, landing Hampton Pirates forward Ben Stanley, per multiple reports.
Stanley, who also had been considering Georgetown, Dayton, Illinois, and other schools, should be able to provide a punch offensively for the Musketeers. The 6’6” forward finished ninth in the nation in scoring last season with 22 points per game.
To go along with his scoring prowess, Stanley’s 7.2 rebounds per game was good enough for second in the Big South, and landed him on the Big South First Team.
Stanley is expected to seek immediate eligibility. The NCAA’s immediate eligibility rulings have been very random of late, so it’s hard to try and guess if Stanley will get it or not.
