2016 point guard Denzell Hosch (Shelby, NC) has committed to Georgetown University.
Rather promptly, the Shelby High School hooper has made his pledge to play for John Thompson III and the Hoyas, as it comes only an hour after Hosch was offered by JT3 and the Hoyas.
Former Shelby (NC) HS alum Denzel Hosch has received a offer from John Thompson III of Georgetown University.

Former Shelby HS standout Denzel Hosch has committed to Georgetown. @VerbalCommits

Per his VerbalCommits page, Hosch had only one standing offer: From the Hoyas. He is Georgetown's second verbal commit of the Class of 2016, joining St. Anthony High School's Jagan Mosely of Jersey City, New Jersey.
G oing out and getting a guard should come as no surprise to Hoya fans. The backcourt's looking pretty thin with the departures of Riyan Williams and D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera, leaving only Tre Campbell and rising sophomore Kaleb Johnson as the true guards on the roster. JUCO transfer Jonathan Mulmore could be on the way as well, and with Mosely and now Hosch in the fold, some depth is now there as the Hoyas can now focus on their one remaining spot in their 2016 class, with a clogged up roster already in tow.
UPDATE: Cancel the alert. Apparently, this news is not yet confirmed.
Per source, the Denzell Hosch commitment is premature. As always, never believe what you read on the internet. Hoya Saxa!
