After another successful week for the Big East, four teams are representing the conference in the newest edition of the AP Top 25.
The Villanova Wildcats, Xavier Musketeers, Creighton Bluejays and Butler Bulldogs make up the bunch that has weaved its way into the Top 25. Butler is the latest team to enter the Top 25 from the conference and did so after an impressive stint in the Las Vegas Invitational. The Bulldogs took down Vanderbilt and Arizona, who dropped down to 16th following the loss.
Villanova finds themselves in second place behind the Kentucky Wildcats. ‘Nova received 20 first-place votes and came 23 points shy of at least tying UK for the top spot. Xavier and Creighton also find themselves in the Top 10 this week as the Musketeers sit at 7th while the Bluejays jump up from 12th to 10th. Butler hopped up to 18th after being unranked last week after their aforementioned success.
