The St. John's Red Storm will be participating in the 2016 Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament.
That's the word from the woodwork on Wednesday morning. Jeff Goodman of ESPN first reported this news early in the day and indicative by the tweet, the Red Storm will likely have their work cut out for them. Announced participants thus far for this early season tourney are the Louisville Cardinals, Wichita State Shockers, Michigan State Spartans and VCU Rams.
Last season, both the Georgetown Hoyas and Butler Bulldogs partook in this tournament as part of a loaded field. This coming season, no current Big East teams will take part, but former rivals could collide as the Syracuse Orange and UConn Huskies are two of the eight clubs in the mix.
