Former Butler Bulldog Ed Carpenter will be on the hunt for his first Indianapolis 500 victory Sunday afternoon in Indianapolis. Here's all the information you need to watch the race.
How to watch, listen and stream
Race Time: Noon ET (Coverage begins at 11 AM)
TV Network: ABC
Radio: If you're reading this in the Indianapolis-area, you know that the race, inexplicably, is not on television. You can listen to it on 1070 AM The Fan
Live Stream: Depending on your location, you might be able to watch ABC Live on your computer. This is generally restricted to bigger markets, but as far as a live stream goes, it's the best option.
Gamblin' Info
Per Bovada, Scott Dixon is the favorite at 9/2.
Butler's Ed Carpenter is at 22/1
What's at stake
There's no Memorial Day Weekend tradition quite like the Indianapolis 500. This is the 99th running of the race and, as usual, there's no shortage of storylines. Being a Big East blog, we're going to focus on Butler alum Ed Carpenter.
Carpenter will be racing in his 11th 500 and starting from the 12th position. He started from #1 the past two years and his best career finish in the event was #5 in 2008.
