St. John's were able to snag one of the top recruits still available in 4-star guard Marcus LoVett Jr.

LoVett took to Twitter to announce his commitment to the Johnnies, winning out over DePaul, Illnois, Memhis, UC-Irvine, Pitt, UNLV and San Diego State.
The 5'11" guard led Morgan Park High School to a third-place Class 3A finish in Illinois. His grades appear to be a concern, but the St. John's staff should have complete faith in his play. Chris Mullin has to be salivating thinking of a LoVett-Rysheed Jordan pairing in his backcourt this fall.
