Andrew Slater of 247Sports is reporting that former Seton Hall Pirates guard Sterling Gibbs is now a member of the Connecticut Huskies.
The news comes to few surprised as many had linked Gibbs, who announced his intentions on April 28 to flee Seton Hall University, to UConn from the jump.
Last season, Gibbs averaged 16.3 points and 3.8 assists for the Pirates. Best of luck to Gibbs in his new home.
UPDATE (6:58 p.m. ET): Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports issued this tweet:
Contrary to reports, SHU transfer Sterling Gibbs has not committed anywhere, source told @CBSSports. List expected to be cut this weekend.
