Butler's Alex Barlow wins CLASS Award over Frank Kaminsky, others

CLASS stands for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Although his playing career with the Butler Bulldogs has come to a close, point guard Alex Barlow continues to rack up awards, this time winning the Senior CLASS award.

The Senior CLASS award stands for "Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School" and is awarded to a senior student-athlete while looking over their entire body of work, both academic and athletic. It is voted on by Division I coaches, media members, and fans.

Barlow beat out Wisconsin big man Frank Kaminsky, among others, listed below, for the award.

Per the Senior Class Award news release, Barlow had the following to say about the honor, "What an honor it is to be the Senior CLASS award winner, I want to thank my family and friends for the continued support over these past four years and also everyone who voted for me during this process. It's been an amazing journey and I am honored to cap off my career by winning this prestigious award. Thank you and Go Dawgs!".
