Highly touted in-state four-star guard Nick Noskowiak will not be playing for Marquette next season, the school announced in a press release on Friday. Head Coach Steve Wojciechowski had the following statement regarding the situation, "We support Nick's request to be granted a release from his letter of intent, after a discussion with Nick, we decided it was best for our program, and for Nick personally, to explore other options and wish him the best of luck as he continues his basketball career."
Noskowiak recently left his high school team for about six weeks when he was dealing with "personal issues". Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reporter Matt Velazquez detailed that situation here.
Noskowiak is still eligible to sign with another team for the 2015-2016 season. Per Big East rules, however, it cannot be a team in the conference.
We will continue to update this story as information comes in.
