Georgetown recruiting news: Hoyas miss Ivan Rabb's cut

USA Basketball U16 2013

The five-star forward is moving on without Georgetown in his final five.

Paul Biancardi of ESPN is reporting that Class of 2015 center Ivan Rabb has cut down his list of schools to five, and the Georgetown Hoyas have missed the cut.

As fate would have it, Rabb is progressing onwards with the Arizona Wildcats, California Golden Bears and UCLA Bruins of the Pac-12 Conference, the Kansas Jayhawks of the Big 12 Conference, and Kentucky Wildcats of the Southeastern Conference in his top five.

We noted earlier this week that Rabb would be making this cut, and as our own Devonte Brooks reported, it appeared that Georgetown was likely to make the cut due to how well the Oakland native's visit at The Hilltop went. However, it would appear that it was all for naught, as the Hoyas have swung and missed at one of the best recruits in the country in the Class of 2015.

Rabb is listed as the best recruit in the state of California and the No. 2 power forward in the country according to 247sports.
