SDSU has a vested interest for BSU to stay the course to the Big East. The Big East football schools (outside of Louisville) have a vested interest in BSU staying that course as well. Without Boise State (as the only member program -- aside from WVU, to be consistently ranked over the past decade), the Big East will lose all credibility as a FB conference once Louisville leaves.
