The St. John's Red Storm are currently pursuing Class of 2016 forward Richard Freudenberg from Germany.
Evan Daniels of Scout.com reported the story on Friday afternoon that the 6-foot-8 forward, who plays for Bayern Muenchen, has picked up traction from the Red Storm and a few other power conference schools.
Duke, Texas, and Vanderbilt are the other three programs who have shown interest to Freudenberg who Daniels notes "is a smooth forward with a high skill level."
Via the article, Richard Freudenberg was part of the U16 National Team for his native country and is planning on participating with the U18 team this coming summer. He scored 14.3 points and eight rebounds per game with Bayern Muenchen recently in the Nike International Junior Tournament.
