Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Smith had been in summer camp with the Miami Heat.

The Houston Rockets have signed former Georgetown center Joshua Smith, he tells Ira Winderman.

Smith, who averaged 10.8 points and 5.8 rebounds per game last season for the Hoyas, has been working to lose weight all summer.
