Team USA was led by Kevin Durant’s 25 points, while DeAndre Jordan and Carmelo Anthony tied for a team high with seven rebounds each.
Big East alums Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry both saw action. Butler recorded eight points and six rebounds, while Lowry recorded seven points, all on free throws.
Butler also played a game of rock-paper-scissors with DeMarcus Cousins to shoot a technical free throw (H/T @CJZero).
Former NBA player Yi Jianlian led China with 25 points.
USA’s next contest will come against Venezuela (featuring former Creighton Bluejay Gregory Echenique) on Monday evening at 6 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network.
