2016 NBA Summer League: Day 6 Big East update

NBA: NBA Draft Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

Summer League keeps rolling right along. Let’s take a look at Thursday.

Orlando Blue 96, Dallas Mavericks 94

Marquette Golden Eagle NCAA Tournament hero Vander Blue had 17 points on 4-12 shooting as the Mavs fell to 1-3 in the Orlando Summer League. Blue and the Mavs will play their final game in Orlando Friday morning.

Detroit Pistons 71, Miami Heat 58

Henry Ellenson’s adjustment continues to be a bit rocky, as the big man from Marquette had four points and six rebounds, but the Pistons improved to 4-0. It’s senseless to worry too much about a four game sample in which a 19 year old “underperformed”.

Boston Celtics 87, San Antonio Spurs 86

Big East action on both sides! Ben Bentil had eight points and four rebounds in 12 minutes for the Celtics, JayVaughn Pinkston had one assist in four minutes.

On the other side of the court, Ryan Arcidiacono had two points, two rebounds, two assists, and two steals in 19 minutes. While he’s not lighting the world on fire, Arcidiacono has been contributing in a multitude of ways so far, in typical Arch fashion.
