Villanova 2015 schedule news: Wildcats finally officially release nonconference schedule

That took long enough.

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

We'd been anxiously waiting this moment.

Tuesday brought the release of the 2015-16 Big East league schedule. Additionally, our long national nightmare is over.

The Villanova Wildcats have revealed their 2015-16 nonconference schedule for this upcoming season. Although most - if not all of the matchups at this point were already known, we can finally take a full look at what's in front of us without any shred of doubt.

The nonconference season for 'Nova is highlighted by matchups with Oklahoma, Virginia, Nebraska in the Gavitt Games, and partaking in the NIT Season Tip Off with games against Stanford and either Georgia Tech or Arkansas. Of course, the annual Big Five series will commence as well as the 'Cats will look to once again position themselves to be the top team in the Philadelphia area.
