2016 five-star forward Wenyen Gabriel commits to Kentucky over Providence, Duke, others

The 2016 forward is 23rd on ESPN's top 100.

2016 five-star forward Wenyen Gabriel is heading to the University of Kentucky to play his college basketball, per his Twitter page.

Gabriel, from Manchester, New Hampshire, had been a Providence target, visiting with the Friars a couple times in his home. Providence, Duke, Maryland, Kentucky, and UConn were Gabriel's final five.

The Friars technically have no open scholarships right now for next season, but that doesn't take into account the likely departure of Kris Dunn.
