Xavier Recruiting: Musketeers offer 2016 power forward Nick Rakocevic

Xavier sent an offer to Class of 2016 PF Nick Rakocevic, a highly touted recruit from Illinois.

Nick Rakocevic, a 6-foot-10 forward from St. Joseph’s (Westchester, IL) High School received an offer from the Xavier Musketeers on Saturday following a visit to the school in Cincinnati, Ohio.

This three-star forward from the 2016 recruiting class is not your ordinary big man. He has good range and has the ability to score both in and out of the paint. For someone who is only a rising junior, Rakocevic is a highly talented player whose only offensive weakness right now may be his ball-handling skills.

On defense, Rakocevic can rebound, block shots, and force opposing players to think twice before creating scoring opportunities. He is never the type of player to force anything and above all, that's what people seem to like the most.

As summer continues on, expect more offers to come Rakocevic’s way. Already with offers from fellow Big East school Creighton, as well as the likes of Iowa, Florida State, Illinois and Wisconsin, this 6-foot-10 forward will be heavily touted and chased along. In addition, the big man does have some visits planned to several schools in the coming weeks.

Rakocevic’s game should continue to progress in the future, which could lead to even more offers being sent his way.
