Georgetown made the cut of five-star shooting guard Dwayne Bacon. Georgetown was expected to make the cut, but he is closer to the campus since he will be attending Oak Hill academy in Virginia.

Providence's Bob Simon Promoted to Associate Head Basketball Coach

Bob Simon was promoted from assistant coach to associate head coach. Simon was held that position on Cooley's staff at Fairfield but has only held the position of assistant coach while at Providence. "I am very happy that we are able to reward Bob with this promotion," Cooley said. "Bob has done a great job coaching, recruiting, mentoring and promoting our program over the last three years. This is another step in his growth as he will be a tremendous head coach someday."
