As we've grown accustomed to over the past two seasons, the Big East will be holding the annual "New Year's Marathon" once again this coming season.
Only this time, it will not be taking place on New Year's Eve nor New Year's Day. The Big East, in a release revealed on Tuesday afternoon, announced that the annual marathon of games will be taking place on January 2, 2016.
With the College Football Playoff being cast underneath the spotlight this coming December on New Year's Eve, it only makes sense to shift attention elsewhere and the Big East has done so by placing its marathon on the second day of the year 2016.
