Xavier, Georgetown and DePaul Players Earn BIG EAST Weekly Honors - BIGEAST.com

+

Congratulations to Georgetown senior forward Brandon Allen who is the Big East Offensive Player of the Week for his work on the pitch. Allen, an Old Bridge, New Jersey native, picked up three goals and six points last week helping Georgetown go unbeaten in their two matchups against Seton Hall and Villanova.

Meanwhile, Chris Moore of Xavier is the Defensive Player of the Week. The Musketeers also went unbeaten in their matchups last week and Moore played a big part in that as he played in every minute of the two matchups that X took part in. X defeated No. 1 Creighton 2-1 and the Bluejays were held to just three shots, and Moore's play played a big part in that. Seton Hall, meanwhile, only picked up one shot on goal in their game against Xavier and Moore's contributions were extremely evident.

Unsurprisingly, Xavier goalkeeper Dallas Jaye is the goalkeeper of the week after his efforts in net for the aforementioned Musketeers.

Finally, DePaul's Jake Scheper of Cincinnati, Ohio is the Big East Freshman of the Week. The Blue Demons defeated the Butler Bulldogs 1-0 thanks to Scheper's game-winning goal at 88'.
