The Providence Friars are now in on a big man out of North Carolina.
The Friars offered 2021 prospect Jonas Aidoo on Sunday. Aidoo, a 6-foot-11 forward out of Charlotte, tweeted out the news of his offer from Ed Cooley’s club on his personal Twitter account:

While Aidoo is currently not ranked or starred on 247Sports or 247Sports Composite, he is starting to field offers from lots of D1 programs. The Houston Cougars also offered Aidoo on Sunday, and Providence joins a field that also includes the likes of the Appalachian State Mountaineers, the Clemson Tigers, the Virginia Tech Hokies and finally, the Wichita State Shockers. Given that, it’s probably likely that Aidoo receives some sort of recognition down the line, we imagine.
With a thin frontcourt looming in their future, it’s imperative for Providence to zero in on power forwards and centers. They certainly seem to be doing that, as Aidoo is the third power forward to receive an offer in the Class of 2021, joining three-star forward Mo Njie and three-star forward Kuluel Mading.
