Big East offer tracker (July 20): Final lists, incoming transfers, new offers, cuts, and more!

Another quiet week on the recruiting trail, but a couple of Big East schools have made the cut for a few 2021 recruits’ trimmed down lists, plus a transfer!

It was another fairly quiet week on the #BIGEASThoops recruiting trail. Outside of DePaul nabbing its sixth incoming transfer for the 2020-21 season, and a few 2021 recruits including Big East schools in their shortlists, there wasn’t too much going on. Here is all the new recruiting action from this past week.

Incoming Transfers:

  • Manhattan forward Pauly Paulicap is transferring to DePaul. He will be eligible immediately as a graduate transfer.

New Offers:

  • Four-star 2022 guard Corey Floyd Jr. (Roselle, N.J./Roselle Catholic) received an offer from Providence.
  • 2023 forward Jalen Hooks (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence Central) received an offer from DePaul.
  • 2022 guard Paul Lewis (Arlington, Va./Bishop O’Connell) received an offer from Georgetown.
  • Four-star 2022 guard Justin Taylor (Charlottesville, Va./St. Anne’s Belfield) received an offer from Georgetown.
  • 2022 guard Christian Winborne (Baltimore, Md./Gilman School) received an offer from Xavier.

Final Cuts:

  • Three-star 2021 guard Angelo Brizzi (Warrenton, Va./Highland) included Villanova in his final eight list, but cut Georgetown.
  • Three-star 2021 guard Gabe Dorsey (Pottstown, Pa./Hill School) has Providence and Xavier in his final eight list, but cut Georgetown.
  • Three-star 2021 guard Jordan Riley (Brentwood, N.Y./Brentwood) narrowed down his list to five schools and included Georgetown, UConn, and St. John’s. Riley cut DePaul and Seton Hall from consideration. He will announce his decision on Friday.

Non-Big East Commitments:

  • Four-star 2021 forward Quincy Allen (Washington, D.C./Maret School) committed to Colorado, had offers from Georgetown, Seton Hall, Marquette, Xavier, and UConn.
  • Five-star 2020 center Moussa Cisse (Brooklyn, N.Y./Lausanne Collegiate School) committed to Memphis over other schools in his final six, like Kentucky, LSU, Florida State, Georgia, and Georgetown.
  • Xavier target, 2021 guard Garrett Johnson (Vienna, Va./Episcopal) committed to Yale.
  • Five-star 2021 guard Langston Love (Cibolo, Texas/Byron P. Steele II) committed to Baylor, had Villanova also in his Final 11 list.
  • Four-star 2021 forward Jeremy Sochan (United Kingdom/La Lumiere) committed to Baylor. Also had offers from DePaul, Georgetown, and Xavier.
