Big East Offer Tracker Update (Mar. 6): Butler secures commitment, final cuts, new offers, and more!

The Bulldogs received a verbal from a three-star wing.

There’s a good amount of action to get caught up on.

Butler received its second commitment from the Class of 2021, with 6-foot-5 guard Pierce Thomas (Brownsburg, Ind./Brownsburg) giving his verbal to the Bulldogs.

Here are the new offers, cuts, and decisions from throughout the Big East recruiting scene the past two weeks.

Commitment:

  • 3-star 2021 wing Pierce Thomas (Brownsburg, Ind./Brownsburg) commits to Butler.

Transfer:

  • DePaul guard Devin Gage will be transferring out after the end of the season. He will be a graduate transfer and will be eligible to play immediately at his new destination.

New Offers:

  • 4-star 2021 forward Robbie Armbrester (Atlanta, Ga./Therrell) received an offer from Xavier.
  • 4-star 2021 guard Jaylen Blakes (Somerset, N.J./Blair Academy) received an offer from DePaul.
  • Providence offers 4-star 2021 guard Ryan Conway (Baltimore, Md./Dulaney).
  • 3-star 2022 guard Brian Edwards Jr. (Knoxville, Tenn./Knoxville Catholic) received an offer from Georgetown.
  • 2021 guard Darius Johnson (Alexandria, Va./Episcopal) received an offer from Seton Hall.
  • 2021 forward David Joplin (Brookfield, Wisc./Brookfield Central) received an offer from Georgetown.
  • 4-star 2021 guard Ryan Nembhard (Canada/Montverde Academy) received an offer from Seton Hall.
  • 3-star 2020 guard Femi Odukale Jr. (Brooklyn, N.Y./Springfield Commonwealth) received an offer from DePaul.
  • 4-star 2021 forward Jeremy Sochan (United Kingdom/La Lumiere) received offers from Xavier and Georgetown.
  • 3-star 2022 center Handje Tamba (Knoxville, Tenn./Knoxville Catholic) received an offer from Georgetown.

Final Cuts:

  • 3-star 2020 forward Donte Houston Jr. (Garland, Texas/Lakeview Centennial) left Seton Hall off of his final five list.

Non-Big East Commitments:

  • 4-star 2021 forward Caleb Furst (Fort Wayne, Ind./Blackhawk Christian) commits to Purdue, had offers from Butler and Marquette.
  • Georgetown and Seton Hall target, 4-star Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe (Canada/Orangeville Prep) commits to Oklahoma State.
  • DePaul target, 4-star 2020 guard Skylar Wicks (Clearwater, Fla./Clearwater Academy) commits to Missouri State.
