It was another fairly quiet week on the Big East recruiting trail, but a busy one out in the midwest, with a bulk of the offers coming from Xavier, Marquette, DePaul, and Creighton. Here’s all the recruiting action from this past week.
New offers:
- 2023 forward Taylor Bol Bowen (Jericho, Vt./St. George’s School) received an offer from Providence.
- Three-star, 2022 guard Jeffery Brazziel (Milwaukee, Wisc./Destiny) received an offer from Marquette.
- Four-star, 2022 guard Chase Cormier (Brookhaven, Ga./St. Pius X) received an offer from Xavier.
- Three-star, 2023 forward Jalen Hooks (Indianapolis, Ind./Crispus Attucks) received an offer from Xavier.
- 2022 guard D.J. Jefferson (Richardson, Texas/Berkner) received an offer from Georgetown.
- 2023 guard London Johnson (Atlanta, Ga./Norcross) received an offer from Xavier.
- 2022 forward Josh Reed (Atlanta, Ga./Pace Academy) received an offer from Xavier.
- Three-star, 2022 forward Jai Smith (Syracuse, N.Y./Bull City Prep) received an offer from St. John’s.
- 2022 forward Mady Traore (France/Bishop Walsh) received an offer from DePaul.
- Four-star, 2022 guard/forward Isaac Traudt (Grand Island, Neb./Grand Island) received an offer from Marquette.
- Three-star, 2022 forward Demarion Watson-Saulsberry (Minneapolis, Minn./Totino-Grace) received offers from Creighton and Xavier.
Final cuts:
- Three-star, 2021 forward Duncan Powell (DeSoto, Texas/DeSoto) trimmed his list to five. DePaul didn’t make the cut.
Non-Big East commitments:
- Three-star, 2021 center Sam Ayomide Onu (Nigeria/Phelps School) committed to Memphis, had Seton Hall and Providence in his final five.
- 2021 guard Tucker DeVries (Waukee, Iowa/Waukee) committed to Drake, had an offer from Creighton.
