The Georgetown Hoyas were active on the recruiting trail on Tuesday. Patrick Ewing and his staff sent an offer to Minnesota Prep Academy’s DJ Jefferson. Jefferson, a guard in the 2022 class, who is originally from Texas, tweeted about receiving the offer on his Twitter account:

Jefferson, a 6-foot-5 guard originally out of Richardson, Texas, has been fielding lots of high-major offers of late. He picked up an offer from the Oregon Ducks a few days ago, as well as the Arizona State Sun Devils. And per his Verbal Commits page, Jefferson’s offer from Georgetown is not the first from a Big East program. The DePaul Blue Demons got in on him all the way back in June, as these schools, alongside the Bryant Bulldogs, TCU Horned Frogs and Tulsa Golden Hurricane are the ones who have interest in him.

Jefferson’s stint with Minnesota Prep began back in September, this after playing for Berkner High School in his hometown. Currently, he is not listed by 247Sports on their rankings, neither composite nor standalone. Though obviously, there is plenty of time for him to turn that around, and fielding offers from high-major programs suggests that Jefferson will be placed on those boards soon enough.

With the offer sent to Jefferson, the Hoyas now have 50 open offers for the Class of 2022.
