Four-star Class of 2020 forward Jalen Bridges (Fairmont, W. Va./Scotland Campus Sports) has cut his prospective list of 10 schools in half.
He announced the news via Twitter on Saturday. Bridges, who had fielded over 30 scholarship offers throughout his recruitment, first cut down his list about a month ago, naming his top 10 schools.
Now, he’s down to just five: Indiana, Xavier, West Virginia, Alabama, and Miami.

The Xavier Musketeers first offered Bridges in late April. They’re searching for their fourth commit from the Class of 2020. Xavier already has a verbal from three other four-star prospects in Dwon Odom (Alpharetta, Ga./St. Francis), Caleb (C.J.) Wilcher (Elizabeth, N.J./St. Benedict’s Prep), and Colby Jones (Pinson, Ala./Mountain Brook).
Bridges has scheduled visits with each of his final five schools. Xavier is right in the middle of the lineup (Sept. 13). Before heading to Ohio, he’ll visit West Virginia (Aug. 30) and Alabama (Sept. 6). After visiting the Musketeers, he’ll head to Miami (Sept. 20) and finish things off in Indiana (Oct. 4).
He heads to Scotland Campus Sports for a prep year, deciding to reclassify after an illustrious four-year career at Fairmont (W. Va.). At his old school, he helped it to four-straight state title game appearances and was named this year’s Evans Award winner, an accolade given to West Virginia’s top player.
This past season, at Fairmont, he averaged 22.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.9 steals per game during the regular season. He then went on to average 16.6 points per game in the state playoffs.
